1925 Melbourne Sovereign PCGS MS64
Although Melbourne sovereigns from the 1920s are generally scarcer, the 1925-M is an exception. As common as it is, though, like all sovereigns, it is difficult in higher grade, with few in PCGS MS64, and fewer still in better grades. The coin photographed above is the one of thirty-four pieces graded in this grade, but there are just five pieces finer, and a mere three in MS65. Scarce in this grade, and one of the more affordable Melbourne sovereigns from the 1920s. Professional Coin Grading Service is the global leader in coin authentication and grading. With over 60 million coins graded and counting, PCGS is trusted by collectors, dealers, and investors to certify authenticity, protect value, and elevate market confidence. This is a direct conversion of the 70-point PCGS grade to a 10-point scale, intended to present the grade in a more intuitive format for newer collectors. It is not our personal opinion or an attempt at regrading the coin to a different standard.
