With its wings at its side, the eagle looks outward. In the background, the sun is rising and casting light across the sky. **History** The Peace Dollar returned for a short time in 1934 and 1935 after a production break that lasted several years. This comeback was part of President Franklin D. Roosevelts push to support silver, including the Silver Purchase Act of 1934.
