The 2017 Royal Mint definitive set contains all eight of the official designs found on British coinage in this year. Included is the base metal £2, £1, 50p, 20p, 10p, 5p, 2p and 1p - all finished to brilliant uncirculated quality. The One Pound found in this pre-owned definitive set is distinct in two ways. Firstly, it's an early 12-sided UK £1, as the 'round pound' ended production the previous year. Secondly, the reverse designer - David Pearce - was the 15-year-old schoolboy who won a nationwide competition to design the new coin. David's floral artistry is joined by Antony Dufort's Britannia £2 and Matt Dent's 'picture puzzle' arrangement on the 50p-1p. Each coin shares an obverse designer through Jody Clark and his definitive effigy of Elizabeth II. We include the original Royal Mint folder with your 2017 definitive collection, allowing for smart presentation and preservation of the encapsulated BU coins.
