2015 UK Piedfort Silver Proof Annual 5 Coin Set
Collectible UK piedfort silver proof annual set from The Royal Mint: one of 1,500 such sets issued in 2015. The commemorative coins in this collection mark a number of important anniversaries in British history. First up, a piedfort silver Five Pound, designed by Mark Richards, celebrating the legacy of Sir Winston Churchill, 50 years on from the legendary statesman’s death. Next, another piedfort Crown, designed by David Lawrence, this one looking back to the 1815 Battle of Waterloo which marked the end of the Napoleonic Wars. A pair of Two Pound coins are included in this piedfort set, the first marking the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta (designed by John Bergdahl) and the second recognising the contribution of the Royal Navy during the First World War (David Rowlands). Rounding out the group is a piedfort silver Fifty Pence piece commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Battle Of Britain. All the coins in this set feature Ian Rank-Broadley’s portrait of Her Majesty the Queen to the obverse. In use since 1998, this fourth definitive effigy of Elizabeth II would be swapped out in 2015 for Jody Clark’s fifth profile. That makes this Royal Mint set among the last to feature the fourth portrait. UK piedfort silver sets come in beautiful glossy black presentation cases with each coin individually encapsulated, allowing the owner to appreciate each piece without direct handling. A detailed information booklet and a certificate of authenticity are enclosed. System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String] System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String]
