2014 UK Brilliant Uncirculated Annual Fourteen Coin Set
The Royal Mint 2014 annual BU set contains a fitting 14 coins, including six commemoratives unique to this year. One of these limited edition inclusions is the highly-collectable and sought-after Queen Anne £5 Crown. The Trinity House and Lord Kitchener £2 releases are also present while, following on from the 2013 versions, a pair of round One Pound coins depict the floral emblems of Scotland and Northern Ireland. Lastly, a 50p commemorates Glasgow hosting the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Bruce Rushin's definitive £2 design is then joined by the 2014 standard £1, 50p, 20p, 10p, 5p, 2p and 1p credited to Matt Dent. Each capsuled coin is struck in base metal and on the 'heads' side is the effigy of Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley. Premier auction house Spink suggests only 13,865 of these collections were issued, making this a valuable pre-owned set for British coin collectors and an exceptional gift.
