Limited edition of just 1,500 sets: the 2011 silver proof 6 coin set as issued by the UK's Royal Mint. Unlike the 14-coin annual set, this edition only has the six one-off commemorative designs issued in 2015. Each commemorative coin features a unique design and is struck in sterling silver to a high-quality proof finish, better than the coins you'll find in your change. The stand-out coins in this set are the 2011 Prince Philip 90th Birthday £5 Crown, the pair of Two Pound coins with the Mary Rose design and the King James Bible design, the pair of One Pound coins paying tribute to Edinburgh and Cardiff and the World Wildlife Fund 50 Pence. A variety of Royal Mint artists and engravers are responsible for these designs, namely Mark Richards, Stuart Devlin, Matthew Dent, John Bergdahl, Paul Stafford and Benjamin Wright. All these coin designs are paired with Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse, which is the fourth official British coin effigy of the monarch. The coins are offered in an attractive black presentation box with the individual coins sealed in their capsules for added protection. It's recommended that the coins are left in their capsules to preserve their finish. A detailed information booklet and the set's original numbered certificate of authenticity are also enclosed. Complimentary insured UK delivery is included in our price, and we can offer a very competitive flat fee for international deliveries.
