2008 Emblems Of Britain UK Silver Proof 7 Coin Set
Highly collectable 2008 Emblems of Britain silver proof set: one of 8,137 sets issued worldwide. In 2008, The Royal Mint updated the designs used on all circulating coins, introducing the distinctive, interconnected shield of arms motif created by graphic designer Matthew Dent. As part of this transition, the original seven designs used when the coins were first introduced were struck for one last time. Five of these coins (1p, 2p, 5p, 10p and 50p) have the original Christoper Ironside designs introduced during the Decimalisation period, with the other two coins issued for the first time in the early 1980s. You can still find the original reverse designs in your change, which take inspiration from royal heraldry and national emblems like Britannia (the 50p) and the Tudor Rose (20p). But they're no longer found on newly struck coins, highlighting the end of an era. The obverses of all these UK coins show Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, which is the fourth definitive coinage of Her Majesty. In total this pre-owned weighs 42.93 grams across the seven coins, giving a complete silver weight of 1.2767 troy ounces. Each coin is struck in sterling silver (0.925 fine) to the Royal Mint's proof standard. They're presented in the original black Royal Mint box of issue with detailed information booklets and numbered certificates of authenticity enclosed. Included in our price is free shipping to UK address, and we can ship internationally too. System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String] System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String]
