Four-coin 2006 gold proof Sovereign set from The Royal Mint. This premium collectors set is available in the original green leather presentation case, complete with a numbered certificate of authenticity. This was the largest Sovereign set issued in 2006 by The Royal Mint and features all four coins struck as part of the 2006 Sovereign range. This includes a Quintuple Sovereign (£5), Double Sovereign (£2), 'full' Sovereign and Half Sovereign. These coins are all minted in 22-carat gold with a proof finish and display Benedetto Pistrucci's classic Saint George and the dragon design. The obverses shows a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley. Part of a limited issue of 1,750, this set is highly collectable.
