The Royal Mint's brilliant uncirculated 2004 UK collection totals 10 impressive coins, including three special designs. A Two Pound coin features Robert Lowe's reverse design celebrating 200 years of the steam locomotive. The rail theme continues on the £1, designed by Edwina Ellis, featuring a depiction of the Forth Bridge - an impressive piece of Scottish railway infrastructure. Disembarking the locomotive theme is a commemoration of remarkable on-foot travel, as James Butler's 50p reverse marks the fiftieth anniversary of Roger Bannister's four-minute-mile. Also included is the definitive 2004 £2, 50p, 20p, 10p, 5p, 2p and 1p. Each of these base metal coins share Ian Rank-Broadley's effigy of Elizabeth II to obverse and are housed in protective dual-capsules within the included folder. This pre-owned set is struck to brilliant uncirculated quality, meaning polished and hand-finished dies are used to produce these collector's coins. Look no further for a 2004 birthday gift!
