2002 Golden Jubilee Silver Proof 24-Coin Crown Set
Twenty-four coin silver proof Crown set, issued to mark Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee. Her Majesty was only the third British monarch to celebrate fifty years on the throne, a memorable royal occasion which was marked with street parties in the UK and across the Commonwealth. This stunning commemorative set is one of a range of Golden Jubilee collectables created by The Royal Mint but is by far one of the most sought-after. The 24 coins included in this collection feature a range of designs created for the Jubilee and the 2003 anniversary of Elizabeth’s Coronation. Most of these coins are the same size as a historic British silver Crown coin, struck in 28.28 grams of .925 sterling silver with selective gold plating. The exception to this is the pair of Australian coins, which are a little heavier and struck in 999 silver with colour-printed detail.
