Limited edition three-coin Sovereign and silver Crown set, issued to mark the Queen Mother's 100th birthday in the year 2000. This set was compiled by The Royal Mint as part of a collection dedicated to Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, which included a commemorative birthday .925 silver proof £5 coin, boasting an exclusive design by Avril Vaughan. Also included in this set are two 22-carat gold Sovereigns, one minted in 1900, the year of the Queen Mum's birth, the other struck in 2000: her centenary year. Together, these coins comprise a premium collector's set, of which only 1,000 were issued. The set is supplied in an appealing purple velvet presentation case, complete with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
