Complete four-coin Sovereign set from 1999, issued by The Royal Mint. This premium collectors set includes a Quintuple Sovereign, a 'full' Sovereign, and a Half Sovereign, plus a commemorative Two Pound coin, issued to celebrate the 1999 Rugby World Cup. All four coins are struck in solid 22-carat gold with a proof finish and feature Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. The reverse of the Sovereigns displays the classic Saint George design. This was the largest gold proof Sovereign set released by The Royal Mint in 1999, though just 991 examples are known to have been issued. This pre-owned example comes in the original red leather box, complete with the medal and a certificate of authenticity.
