The Royal Mint released this silver proof set of £1 coins as a celebratory gathering of the definitive 'Heraldic Emblems' collection by Norman Sillman. These classic UK One Pound coins, each representing a UK nation, feature heraldic animals and emblems on their designs. Present are sculptures of the Scottish Lion Rampant, Welsh Red Dragon, Northern Irish Cross, and England's Three Lions. Each legal tender, definitive £1 is struck in 9.50 grams of sterling silver and is finished to proof standard. The mintage limits range from 25,000 for the 1994 edition to 30,000 for the 1995 edition, with the final pair holding a 40,000-strong mintage. The complete four-coin proof set is highly limited and is here offered pre-owned, including the original presentation packaging.
