1991 Gibraltar Brilliant Uncirculated Annual Coin Set
The 1991 Gibraltar annual set is the second Pobjoy Mint collection of BU coins issued for the British Overseas Territory. Each of the nine designs, struck on the Five Pound to the One Pence, features a sculpture unmistakably Gibraltarian. These range from wildlife coins like the Barbary Ape 5p, to religious themes on the Lady Europa 20p, and landmarks like the Moorish Castle 10p. The 10p in this 1991 set is also an example from the final year of minting for the design, as it was replaced with the Europort 10p in 1992. Each is struck to brilliant uncirculated quality by the British Pobjoy Mint. These early issues are scarce and here include the classic blue folders, allowing for a full display presentation.
