Limited edition UK proof annual set for the year 1972, featuring seven Royal Mint base metal coins. This 1972 Annual Set celebrates the Silver Wedding Anniversary of Elizabeth II and Prince Philip with a Crown coin: the first UK decimal Crown with a face value of 25p. Also included in this set are proof editions of circulating coins issued for the year 1972, each struck in base metal. This set includes a proof decimal Fifty Pence piece, Ten Pence piece, Five Pence piece, Two Pence piece, One Pence piece and a Halfpenny, which here join the Crown in the original presentation packaging from The Royal Mint. All also feature Arnold Machin’s portrait of Her Majesty the Queen to the obverse. This pre-owned set is no longer available new and is one of 150,000 issued in its one-year-only mintage period.
