This 13th entry in the highly collectable America the Beautiful series features Maine's Acadia National Park. The reverse features the iconic Bass Harbour Head Lighthouse, situated at the entrance to Blue Hill Bay. This design celebrating Acadia National Park is by Joseph Menna, and is complemented by the series' shared obverse effigy of George Washington. The coin is struck from 5.67 grams of cupronickel and has been in public circulation. Between the Denver and Philadelphia Mint, 46,406,000 were struck to circulate and be collected by America the Beautiful enthusiasts.
