2023 Albus Dumbledore Fifty Pence Coloured Brilliant Uncirculated Harry Potter Coin
The Royal Mint has celebrated 25 years since Bloomsbury Publishing released Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in 1997, and this UK Fifty Pence features a cherished character: Dumbledore. Ffion Gwillim uses a bespoke work by Jim Kay from the illustrated Philosopher's Stone book on the reverse. The bearded wizard wears his distinctive cloak - which is coloured in deep purple in this special edition 50p. A charming lenticular feature also flicks between the iconic lightning bolt and '25'. The obverse depicts Charles III in his first definitive portrait for British coins as designed by Martin Jennings. The Royal Mint struck this coin in 8.00 grams of cupronickel to brilliant uncirculated quality. As with other UK 50 Pence pieces, this collectable Harry Potter coin has a 27.30 millimetre diameter. The included folder showcases more of Jim Kay's nostalgic illustrations and covers Professor Dumbledore's cherished character traits.
