The famed wartime singer, Dame Vera Lynn, is honoured on this pre-owned brilliant uncirculated 2022 Two Pound coin from The Royal Mint. 2022 would have been Dame Vera's 105th birthday, who sadly passed away at the age of 103 in 2022. She was most famous for inspiring British soldiers during the Second World War, being voted as 'Forces' Sweetheart' in a Daily Express newspaper poll in 1939. Her songs, such as 'We'll Meet Again' and '(There'll Be Bluebirds Over) The White Cliffs of Dover' boosted the morale of a nation just when it needed it the most, and in recognition of this, she was named the Briton who best exemplified the spirit of the 20th century in 2000. Dame Vera continued her singing career after the war, and was active right up until her death, hitting the astonishing milestone of 96 years in the music industry. The Royal Mint engraving team captures Dame Vera in beautiful detail on the coin's reverse, which shows her in her prime during the war years. On the obverse, Jody Clark's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II is visible. Specifications of the coin are a bimetallic alloy of cupronickel in the centre and a nickel-brass outer ring, a total diameter of 28.40 millimetres and a total weight of 12.00 grams. It comes issued in the original limited edition packaging from The Royal Mint. System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String] System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String]
