The Royal Mint celebrates Birmingham's hosting of the 2022 Commonwealth Games in this Strike Your Own edition of the popular sporting release. Natasha Preece took inspiration from Birmingham Library, housing the Games' countdown clock, in her geometric reverse design. This is complimented by Elizabeth II on the obverse side of this coin, which shares a date with her Platinum Jubilee year. Natasha Preece and Jody Clark's artistry is here given a brilliant uncirculated finish thanks to the special Royal Mint Strike Your Own process. The 2022 Strike Your Own Commonwealth Games 50 Pence is struck in 8.00 grams of cupronickel and achieves a 27.30 millimetre diameter. The included Royal Mint Experience protective folder houses the coin in a dual-facing plastic window. This striking pre-owned coin makes a fine addition to the collections of sport-loving coin fans.
