The first release in the Queen's Reign BUnc coin series gives recognition to the Honours and Investitures of Queen Elizabeth II during her time as monarch. This exciting new Royal Mint coin series recognises the lifetime of service that The Queen has given to the nation through her work as head of state, and this coin in particular is notable for being the first ever British coin to have the monarch's signature on it. Patrick Lynch was tasked with designing the reverse of this UK coin. He places an array of medals above The Queen's signature in the centre, symbolising Her Majesty's role in recognising those who have made outstanding contributions to the service of their country. On the other side of the coin, the obverse, one can see Jody Clark's engraving of The Queen. The weight of the coin is 28.28 grams, the diameter is 38.61 millimetres and it's struck in cupronickel to a BU finish.
