A brilliant uncirculated 50p coin from The Royal Mint to celebrate the 2022 Commonwealth games. Birmingham first hosted the prestigious games in 2022 and this special event for the city was commemorated in official UK coinage by the Mint. The reverse, by Natasha Preece, features the symmetrical patterns found across the visual identity of these games. In one of the last examples to do so, the obverse features Jody Clark's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This pre-owned BU 50 Pence coin is fully and officially licensed by the Commonwealth Games Federation and comes seated within the original informational folder. This commemorative coin, which is no longer available from The Royal Mint, is struck in 8.00 grams of cupronickel to a diameter of 27.30 millimetres.
