2021 brilliant uncirculated Royal Mint 50p featuring Mary Anning's flying reptile: Dimorphodon. In 1828 Mary discovered this bat-reptile hybrid which now features in the three-coin Mary Anning Collection. Produced in collaboration with the Natural History Museum, paleo-artist Robert Nicholls presents a scientifically accurate, coloured, Dimorphodon on the reverse. Also present is a depiction of an original Dimorphodon fossil: its fourth finger - key to pinning down its specification. This 8.00 gram UK coin, which has a 27.30 millimetre diameter, houses Jody Clark's portrait of Elizabeth II on the obverse.
