2020 Bond James Bond Five Pound Brilliant Uncirculated Mint Pack Coin
On this BU Five Pound coin from the Royal Mint, the legendary fictional spy James Bond is given centre stage. The Mint issued a special set of commemorative 007 coins to mark the world's most famous spy and coincide with the release of the latest James Bond film. The 25th Bond film, titled 'No Time to Die', was originally scheduled to be released in November 2019, but was repeatedly pushed back for a multitude of reasons and didn't premiere until September 2021. This edition is the first release in the 007 James Bond series, and shows the secret agent's iconic Aston Martin DB5 on the reverse. Christian Davies and Matthew Dent jointly designed this simple yet stylish 'tails' side of the coin, and they cleverly overlapped the number '0' on the engraving so once all editions of the coin are placed together left to right, they'll read '007'. The obverse shows Queen Elizabeth II, the monarch whose service James Bond is dedicated to. It was designed by Jody Clark and is the fifth official coin effigy to appear on UK coinage. Specifications of this officially licensed collector's coin are a weight of 28.28 grams, a diameter of 38.61 millimetres and a brilliant uncirculated finish. Your coin is housed in a black coin slipcase, which features Bond-branded writing and information about Ian Fleming's timeless creation.
