In 2019, the fine china company Wedgwood celebrated 260 years since its founding in 1759, and to commemorate the occasion The Royal Mint issued a premium collection of Two Pound coins. The reverse features the iconic Portland Vase: a remarkable Roman cameo glass vase, successfully reproduced by Wedgwood in his distinctive jasperware in 1790.
