2018 Sea King Helicopter Two Pound Brilliant Uncirculated RAF Centenary Coin
The Royal Air Force was the first independent air force ever established, founded in the last months of the First World War. To mark the centenary year of the RAF, The Royal Mint released a series of coins celebrating the storied history of the world's oldest air force. This edition is the brilliant uncirculated Two Pound coin, struck twice during product to give a sharper finish compared to ordinary circulation coinage. The reverse of this collectable UK £2 showcases the Westland Sea King helicopter, used by the RAF from 1978 to 2015. Specifications are a weight of 12.00 grams and a diameter of 28.40 millimetres, with an alloy composed of cupronickel and nickel-brass.
