This BUnc Tom Kitten Fifty Pence Coin was the third Beatrix Potter coin to be released by The Royal Mint in 2017. The Tale of Tom Kitten was originally published by Beatrix Potter in September 1907, and tells the story of three naughty kittens. Tom Kitten and his sisters, Moppet and Mittens, have been dressed up by their mother Tabitha Twitchit as she was expecting visitors, but get up to mischief which forces Tabitha to send them all to their rooms and lie to the guests, saying they're ill. On the obverse side of the coin, the fifth UK coinage portrait of Queen Elizabeth II is seen, as designed by Jody Clark. Your coin is struck twice to give an 'Brilliant Uncirculated' finish, with the specifications being a weight of eight grams and a diameter of 27.30 millimetres.
