2014 Royal Mint Alderney coin featuring the first of the Hanoverian monarchs: George I. Struck to mark the 300th year since his coronation, the monarch who ushered in the Georgian Era is present on the reverse. Emma Noble's design is rich in 18th century pomp and splendour, and is joined by another royal portrait on the obverse: that of Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley. Both monarchs are struck to brilliant uncirculated quality in cupronickel alloy. This Alderney Five Pound weighs 28.28 grams and has a 38.61 millimetre diameter. The George I coin is encapsulated in the original Royal Mint folder alongside a splendid 1714 portrait of the King himself. Perfect for British royal enthusiasts, this is a rare pre-owned coin in featuring a monarch on both the obverse and reverse sides.
