2011 Cycling Fifty Pence Brilliant Uncirculated London 2012 Sports Collection Coin
2011 UK BU Fifty Pence from The Royal Mint's celebration of London's Olympic Games in 2012. Each of the 29 coins feature a publicly produced design for a competitive Olympic event. This ninth design encompasses all the Olympic action to be found on two wheels in a design by keen cyclist Theo Crutchley-Mack. Using a series of lines, the slope of the velodrome is impressively conveyed alongside a cyclist in the foreground. Her Late Majesty is to be found on the obverse side of this 2011 UK coin designer Ian Rank-Broadley - Elizabeth II's penultimate lifetime coinage effigy. This is a brilliant uncirculated Fifty Pence, struck using cupronickel to a gross weight of 8.00 grams. This 27.30 millimetre coin is offered present and capsuled in the original Royal Mint illustrated card. While a fantastic opportunity to obtain design nine in the Sports Collection, wider fans of cycling will also enjoy this coin!
