2005 Horatio Nelson Five Pound Brilliant Uncirculated Mint Pack Coin
Horatio Nelson is celebrated on this 2005 Royal Mint Crown, struck in the 200th anniversary of Trafalgar and Nelson's death. Nelson died knowing that victory was at hand and that, for England, his duty was done. The reverse of this coin presents a portrait of Lord Nelson in his Vice Admiral Uniform, as designed by James Butler. Elizabeth II, another servant to her country, is depicted on the obverse by Ian Rank-Broadley. Struck to mark 200 years since Nelson's death, this coin is done so in 28.28 grams of cupronickel. It has a brilliant uncirculated quality. The sister coin commemorates the Battle of Trafalgar, and both are available in a set. This individual Horatio Nelson edition arrives in the beautifully illustrated coin pack and is a pre-owned collectable from The Royal Mint.
