1986 UK Brilliant Uncirculated Annual 8 Coin Set
Annually, The Royal Mint releases a brilliant uncirculated coin collection commemorating the coins of that year. This coin set celebrates 1986, a year that witnessed Labyrinth, Neighbours and Casualty hit our screens. Meanwhile, in the minting world, the next in the UK one-pound coin series saw the creation of the Northern Ireland £1 coin in a “Flax and Royal Diadem” design by Leslie Durbin, and the release of a Commonwealth Games celebratory £2 coin designed by Norman Sillman. The Royal Mint presents the 3rd Portrait of Her Majesty the Queen, Elizabeth II, by sculptor Raphael Maklouf, FRSA, on the obverse of the 8-piece coin set. The standout, though, is surely the early example of a commemorative Two Pound coin within! Your 1986 BU set is pre-owned and supplied in the original Royal Mint display packaging.
