For this 1986 brilliant uncirculated One Pound coin, the floral design chosen to represent Northern Ireland was the flax. In recognition of Flax's heritage in Northern Irish textiles, this BU One Pound coin features, on the reverse, a prosperous flax plant encircled by the Royal Diadem, designed by Leslie Durbin. This 1986 coin is part of a four-part series, authorised by The Queen in 1983 for the new £1 coins featuring a natural floral symbol for each of the Home Nations, from the Oak Tree of England to the Leek of Wales. This design is paired with Raphael Maklouf's portrait of Elizabeth II on the obverse, the third official effigy of The Queen. Comprised of a nickel-brass alloy and weighing 9.50 grams, this coin is finished to BU standards, offering better quality and definition. It has a diameter of 22.50 milimetres and is one of 19,908 issued in the collectable Royal Mint display pack. System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String] System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String]
