These historical gold Double Eagles are selected at random from our available stock, making them a competitive choice for bullion investors looking for pre-owned coins. Because they're part of our best value range we're able to offer them at really competitive premiums above the live gold price. Like the British gold Sovereign, US Double Eagles were released as ordinary circulation coins which were used in everyday transactions, but nowadays are purchased as a bullion investment or as a collectable numismatic piece. Two striking designs feature on these attractive VAT-free coins and you can receive either when you purchase from our best value range. You can easily distinguish between the two: coins from 1850 and 1906 will have the Coronet Liberty Head design on the obverse and coins from 1908 to 1933 will have the famous Lady Liberty obverse by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. The latter design was adapted for modern US gold Eagle bullion coins, which were first issued in 1986 and are different to Double Eagles. Specifications are 33.43 grams of 0.900 fine gold, a diameter of 34.00 millimetres and an actual gold weight of 0.9675 troy ounces. These particular Double Eagles are not rare but they are in good to fine condition, carefully authenticated by our expert team who ensure you receive a quality bullion piece. Some edge knocks or scratches may be present, but that's typical of bullion coins and won't affect their resale value. Our coins are securely and discretely packaged at our showroom in Royal Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire. We offer complimentary insured postage to UK addresses and we're very happy to ship internationally as well. System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String] System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String]
