2018 Silver Kookaburra investment coin. This year marked a significant change in the composition of the popular 1oz Kookaburra from The Perth Mint. From 1990 - 2017 these Australian coins were struck in .999 silver. Collectors and investors were pleased to hear that from 2018 a purer .9999 alloy would be used to strike them. 2018 also welcomed a beautiful new reverse design: a moonlit kooka in flight. On the obverse side is the profile of Elizabeth II, here designed by Ian Rank-Broadley. Despite the new alloy, the Silver Kookaburra remained a bullion coin offering one troy ounce of pure precious metal. This investment release consists of 243,740 2018-dated Kookaburras struck to an uncirculated bullion quality. System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String] System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String]
