This 1999 1oz American Eagle is the last of these .999 silver coins to be struck in the 20th century. It holds the same designs as previous examples since the US Mint began this official bullion series in 1986. Adolph A. Weinman's Walking Liberty is therefore joined by Mercanti's Great Seal-inspired eagle on the obverse and reverse, respectively. The US Mint strikes each 1999 American Eagle with one ounce of pure silver reflective of this coin's investable background. Bullion editions such as this one are struck to an investment standard and are not to be mistaken for the proof editions, which hold a West Point mintmark. These. pre-owned 1999 1oz Eagles are uncirculated, although may show minor toning. Add the last American Eagle of the 1900's to your stack today.
