2022 10oz Queen's Beasts Completer Silver Coin
This beautiful 2022 10oz Completer silver coin is the final release in the very popular Queen's Beast series from The Royal Mint. The 2022 ten ounce Queen's Beast Completer coin acts as the capstone to the series, celebrating all 10 beasts in one stunning design by The Royal Mint's Jody Clark. The Queen's Beasts coins are based on the ten statues which stood guard outside Westminster Abbey for the Queen's Coronation in 1953. They were originally sculpted by J. Woodford RA in 1953 and represent the various houses in the Queen's ancestry. Over the past five years the Royal Mint have released 10 coins, each representing a heraldic device used by one of the houses in the Queen's lineage. These 'beasts' are now brought together in one coin as a culmination of this classic series. The design of the coin features HRH Queen Elizabeth at the centre surrounded by the 10 beasts. The coin is 999.9 pure and contains ten ounces of silver. Just like other British currency, this coin is exempt from Capital Gains Tax. Like all coins in this series both the obverse and reverse are designed by The Royal Mint's Jody Clark.
