A 23.5 carat version 1965 gold Half Sovereign from the Isle of Man. This coin contains slightly more gold than normal for these coins - it is significantly more golden in colour compared to the 22-carat version. This 23.5ct (98% pure) gold Half Sovereign coin features the 3-legged Triskelion in a shield, and the portrait of Elizabeth II. Text reads 1965 QUOCUNQUE JECERIS STABIT and 1765 BICENTENARY OF THE REVESTMENT ACT 1965. As with many of the Pobjoy Mint issues of this era, some coins are slightly heavier than the normal coin specification (3.99g) - this is normal.
