This 1979 Isle of Man Proof gold Sovereign 4-coin set features a quintuple-sovereign (five-pound coin), double-sovereign (two-pound coin), sovereign and half-sovereign absolutely mint and still sealed airtight in plastic, presented in a red velvet box. Struck by the Pobjoy Mint and limited to 1,000 sets. These proofs have been struck using specially selected blanks and highly polished dies. During striking, the coinage dies exert enormous pressure on the coin blank, with at least two separate blows (or strikes), ensuring that the impression has extra clarity. **Complete with its own Certificate of Authenticity.**
