Following the success of the 1oz Silver Spider-Man coin, the 2018 Thor 1oz silver coin is the second in a series of coins by Marvel™. The coin is limited to a mintage of 50,000, so will be highly sought by collectors. The coin contains one ounce of fine silver (999.9) and has been manufactured by leading refiner Perth Mint for the country of Tuvalu. Queen Elizabeth II's fourth portrait, created by Ian Rank-Broadley and used in the UK between 1998 and 2014, features on the obverse. The reverse of the coin contains a large image of Thor - depicting the original Marvel Comics image of the character. The Marvel and Thor logos are displayed along with a copyright mark for Marvel to indicate that this is an authorised product.
