### Goddesses of Olympus (1.) - Hera 2 Oz Silver - Antique Finish - First Issue of the "Goddesses of Olympus" Series - 99.9% Silver - Mintage only 2,000 pieces - With Certificate of Authenticity - Delivery in original Box The first issue in the Perth Mint's **Goddesses of Olympus** series is dedicated to **Hera**. The motive presents Hera, the Greek queen of the gods, on her throne. She is depicted with her royal lotus-tipped sceptre as well as a lion and a peacock - both of which are animals sacred to Hera. The inscription "HERA" and the Perth Mint's "P" mintmark are also included in the design. The reverse shows the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the denomination, weight, fineness and year of issue. **Hera** was the eldest daughter of Cronus and Rhea and the sister of Zeus, Hades, Poseidon, Demeter and Hestia. She later became the wife of Zeus. In Greek mythology, the theme of jealousy is often associated with Hera, for example in the legend of Zeus and his lover Io, whom he had to turn into a cow in order to protect her from Hera's anger and jealousy. The **limited 2 Oz Antique Finish silver coin** is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity.
