### 12 Baby Lunar Animals - 2025 5 Oz Silver - Proof - in Color - **Colored motive** - 5 Oz 99.99% pure silver - Limited Mintage only 388 pieces - With numbered Certificate of Authenticity - Delivery in original Box This impressive silver coin was struck by the **Perth Mint** from **5 ounces of 99.99% pure silver** in exquisite proof quality. The obverse of the coin features a coloured depiction of the twelve baby animals of the Chinese zodiac, including the mouse, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig. Each adorable animal appears against a grey, farm-like background. Surrounding the imagery is a bagua, a symbol incorporating eight Taoist trigrams representing yin and yang, believed to be present in all things. The design also includes a taijitu, symbolising the unity and interdependence of opposing forces. The reverse of the coin shows the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, designed by Jody Clark, together with inscriptions denoting the weight, fineness, denomination, and the year of issue 2025. According to Chinese tradition, the emperor once ordered a great race among all the animals on Earth to determine which twelve would occupy the positions in the lunar calendar. Each animal represents one year in the **twelve-year lunar cycle**, influencing the characteristics and fortunes of those born in that year. The **limited 12 Baby Lunar Animals 5 oz Silver Proof Coin** is delivered in the original Perth Mint box, complete with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
