The year 2018 marked a milestone in television history: "The Simpsons" became the longest-running television series ever to be broadcast in prime time. Meanwhile, the stories around Homer, Marge and Co. can be seen in 60 countries and 20 languages. This 2022 coin was struck by the Perth Mint from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver in proof quality. The colored motive features an image of the **Krusty Lu Television Studios™**, the official filming location for Krusty's clown show. Pictured in the foreground are Homer, Krusty and Sideshow Melin in a red clown car. The copyright "©20TV", the mint mark "P" from the Perth Mint and the signature of Matt Groening are also part of the design. The Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the year of issue 2022, the weight "1oz", the fineness "9999 Ag" and the monetary denomination "1 DOLLAR" are featured on the reverse. The officially licensed coin is housed in a transparent acrylic holder, allowing it to be presented on both sides, and is delivered in the original packaging of the **Perth Mint** including a numbered certificate of authenticity.
