### Fairy Tales (11.) - The Nutcracker 1 Oz Silver - Antique Finish - High Relief - in Color - 11th Release in the Series 'Fairy Tales' - Motive in Color - Mintage only 1,000 pieces - With Certificate of Authenticity - Delivery in original Box The **eleventh release in the Series 'Fairy Tales'** of the Lithuanian Mint was struck from one ounce of 99.9% silver and is dedicated to the classic fairy tale **The Nutcracker**. The partially colored motive shows a depiction of the protagonist Marie and the Nutcracker, which was on her gift table and whose existence is threatened by the evil Mouse King. The latter is depicted on the left edge of the coin, while the nutcracker holds a sword in his left hand. Marie, who has developed loving feelings for the Nutcracker, vehemently refuses to hand the Nutcracker over to the Mouse King. Her courage is ultimately rewarded when the Nutcracker is transformed back into the youth he once was. His kingdom, the world of sugar, is also saved from the Mouse King's attack. The reverse shows the coat of arms of Niue as well as the denomination, the year of issue and a further depiction of Marie, the Nutcracker, the Mouse King and various elements from the fairy tale by Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann. The romantic fairy tale “The Nutcracker” deals with the conflict between good and evil on the one hand and themes such as fantasy, adventure and the supernatural on the other. The limited **The Nutcracker - High Relief Antique Finish coin** is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity.
