The motive was partially minted in color and features Cinderella on the right side as a graceful princess hurrying from the prince's ball in her fancy pink dress. She wears a tiara made of sparkling **SWAROVSKI® elements** on her head. The left side depicts the heroine of the fairy tale in her everyday life as a maid for her step-family. The entire design is framed by the dial of a clock. The reverse shows the Public Seal of Niue as well as the denomination and the year of issue. The story of Cinderella originates from the collection of French fairy tale poet Charles Perrault published in 1697. The story is about a young woman who breaks free from the oppression of her stepfamily and, through her beauty and virtue, wins over the prince.
