### Lord of the Rings™ - Movie Poster (3.) - The Return of the King™ 1 Oz Silver - Proof - in Color - Silver coin in rectangular shape - Officially licensed by WARNER BROS.™ - Mintage 3,000 pieces - With Certificate of Authenticity - Delivery in original Lord of the Rings™ Packaging This rectangular coin struck by the **New Zealand Mint** is the third issue in the "Lord of the Rings Movie Poster Series" and is dedicated to the third part of the fantasy trilogy "The Return of the King". The motive features a replica image of the original movie poster for "**The Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King™**". The reverse shows the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the denomination and the year of issue. With box-office revenues totaling more than one billion U.S. dollars, "The Return of the King" was one of the most financially successful theatrical films of 2003. Not only did the blockbuster receive unbroken praise from fans and critics, but it also received a total of eleven nominations at the 2004 Academy Awards, winning in all of them. Like the first and second part, the third installment of the film series is based on the successful 1954 book trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien, with the title referring to Aragorns™ return as King of Gondor and Arnor Elessar. The plot of the film seamlessly follows the events of the second part "The Two Towers" and continues with the adventures of the now separated members of the Fellowship. For the last time, the inhabitants of Middle Earth face off in an ultimate battle against the army of the dark necromancer Sauron™. The limited **Lord of the Rings™ coin** is delivered in a thematically matching original box including a certificate of authenticity from the New Zealand Mint.
