No mintage limit applies to the 1 kilo coin, however production will close at the end of 2021 and The Perth Mint will declare the coin’s official mintage. Each coin in this program is issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965. **Product Features** - Australian legal tender - Annual release in the popular Kookaburra series which dates back to 2007 - Kilo of 99.99% pure silver in BU finish - Reverse portrays a sleepy koala nestled between the branches of a eucalyptus tree. The inscription ‘AUSTRALIAN KOALA’, The Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark, the 2021 year-date, and the weight and purity are also included in the design. - Obverse of each coin bears the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination
