Struck from one ounce of 99.9% silver in proof quality, the motive features a sophisticated combination of high lustre, matting and a delicate rose coloration. The coin is themed around the conflict between good and evil and shows the silhouettes of Aurora™ and the antagonist Maleficent™. The unusual shape of the coin was inspired by the Gothic architecture that can also be seen in Aurora's castle. The reverse shows the effigy of King Charles III as well as the denomination and the year of issue. **Sleeping Beauty™** is based on the story "La Belle au Bois dormant" (The Sleeping Beauty in the Woods) by Charles Perrault.
