This 2 oz fine-silver coin is struck in a new minting technique that combines 11.5 oz of copper in between two layers of fine-silver resulting in super ultra high relief while being topped off with silver antique finishing. The design on the reverse feature the portrait of the hero in his gear and the elements from the theme which showcases various ornaments that symbolizes the character’s chivalric values and beliefs. The same ornaments can be found on the obverse surrounding the legal tender. Each coin comes with a certificate of authenticity made from 0.1oz of .999 fine silver. Each certificate is serialised and of Niue Legal Tender. The coin is limited to a mintage of 500. The Nine Worthies are nine historical, scriptural and legendary personages who personify the ideals of chivalry established in the Middle Ages, penned by Jacques de Longuyon in his book “The Vows of the Peacock”.
