### Disney™ - Donald Duck™ - 85th Anniversary 2 Oz Silver - Proof - High Relief - Special edition for the 85th Anniversary - 99.99% Silver - Officially licensed by Disney™ - Mintage 5,000 pieces - With Certificate of Authenticity - Delivery in original Box The world's most famous drake celebrates its 85th birthday this year - and still enjoys lasting unbroken popularity. In honor of the anniversary of **Donald Duck™** the **New Zealand Mint** struck this coin from 2 ounces of 99.9% silver in proof quality. The motive features a delightful image of **Donald Duck™** in Donald’s Penguin, a hilarious Disney animated short film from 1939. On June 9, 1934, the first cartoon with the clumsy cartoon duck was broadcast in the United States. In "The Wise Little Hen", Donald Duck had only a minor role, but then he started his career inexorably and has got fans all over the world. After Mickey Mouse™ celebrated last year the 90th birthday, now the drake with the blue sailor jacket makes it to his friend with round ears. Not so bad for an often moody poultry without trousers, which has become a world star since its Hollywood debut in 1934. Mickey Mouse™, which premiered in 1928 in the short film "Steamboat Willie", was already a huge blockbuster in the 1930s. Its inventor, Walt Disney, wanted to put a new character to the brave mouse: Donald looked cute, but could be hot-tempered and stinky. The limited coin is delivered in the original box including a certificate of the New Zealand Mint.
