The popular character appeared in several films of the STAR WARS™ franchise. Gial Ackbar™ was born between 62 and 52 VYS on the water planet of Mon Cala and belonged to the Mon Calamari species. He was an early member of the Rebel Alliance and led the Rebels to victory in the important Battle of Endor under his leadership. He later also joined the Resistance against the First Order and died in the year of 34 NSY aboard the Raddus, when it was destroyed by two TIE/sf space superiority fighters. The coin was struck by the **New Zealand Mint** from one ounce of 99.9% silver in proof quality. The special feature of this coin is its special shape in "Chibi Art" style. Chibi figures are characterized by their disproportionately large head and a relatively small body. This strongly belittles the depicted characters.
