### Whānau Mārama - Set - 2 Coins 2 x 1 Oz Silver - Proof - in Color - 2 x 1 Ounce of 99.9% Silver - **Limited Mintage only 400 sets** - With Certificate of Authenticity - Delivery in original Box This set consisting of two silver coins, each struck from one ounce of silver in proof quality, has been issued by the **New Zealand Post** in honor of the **Family of Light - Whānau Mārama**. The colored coins included in the set were designed by Māori artist Dave Burke and depict the sun and moon with detailed illustrations personifying the celestial bodies. The inscriptions "WHANAU MARAMA - FAMILY OF LIGHT" as well as the denomination and the inscription "KOTAHI TARA" are also included in the design of both coins. The reverse of each coin features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II as well as the weight, fineness and year of issue. In Māori language, the term **Whānau Mārama** describes the family of celestial bodies consisting of the sun, the moon and the star cluster of the Pleiades. The knowledge of the special relationship of these celestial bodies to each other is passed on in Māori culture through folk stories and so-called "schools of learning". The knowledge of the rising and position of the sun (Tamanuiterā), the knowledge of the phases of the moon (Marama), and the knowledge of the position and movements of the Pleiades (Ngā Whetū Matariki) is called "Tātai Arorangi" and is preserved by astromonic experts. The **set consisting of two 1 ounce silver coins in color** is **limited to only 400 sets worldwide**. It is delivered in the original box including a certificate of authenticity from New Zealand Post.
